107 JAMZ’s Top Viewed Local Stories of 2014 [VIDEOS, NSFW]
When the history books are written, 2014 will go down as a pretty controversial year, and Lake Charles was not left out of that.
When we looked at the most-read stories of the year, we found a selection of stories that reflected some of the darkness of 2014, such as when the KKK decided to try to recruit local residents. But at the same time, we also saw that something positive came out of the year -- such as when Sean Ardoin unleashed his video for "Zydeco Happy."
So here are the stories that got you reading and talking, and here's to hoping that bigger and better things happen in 2015.

Ceddy Bu Killed in Car Crash
Rising Louisiana Rapper's Life Cut ShortHe was born as Cedrick D. Smith, but by the time he lost his life in January of this year, he was immortalized as Ceddu Bu, aka The Rap Sumo. A friend of the 107 JAMZ family, Ceddy Bu was a resident of Plaquemine, and he has been seriously missed. R.I.P., Ceddy Bu.

Local Zydeco Star Puts His Own Twist on the Mega HitWhen Sean Ardoin recorded his version of Pharrell's "Happy," it took on a life of its own. The message of the song is so positive in such negative times that Sean wanted to create a video that brought all of Lake Charles together. So we teamed up to create this video, and it became a runaway success, being viewed over 51,000 times as of this writing. It goes to show you that there's much more that unites us than divides us.
