This years SWLA Heart Walk was a big success. I don't have an actual number for the amount of people who came out to participate, but I'm sure we had at least 1,000.  With the Christmas holiday just around the corner, the magical season was the theme this year. SWLA Heart Walk chair, Cheryl Little, dressed up as "elf on the shelf" to go along with the theme and she looked just like mystical helper. The goal for the walk/run of course was to raise money.  The 2016 wish was to raise $170,000 and so far they've brought in a little more than $85,000.

They are still accepting donations.  So if you want to help our local American Heart Association raise awareness, promote healthy living in the community and assist with the continued research to prevent heart attack and stroke, donate here.  This years SWLA Heart Walk was well attended, with plenty of booths and we really had a good time walking and the weather was perfect.  Below are a few pictures I took of the days event.  Enjoy!
