This Saturday (November 5, 2016) come out and observe a special Veterans Day ceremony paying tribute to all vets in SWLA.  The program will begin at 10 a.m. and take place at the Veterans Memorial Park, located on Lakeshore Drive.  This is a free event and open to the public.  The annual ceremony is hosted by the City of Lake Charles Mayor’s Armed Forces Commission and will feature guest speakers, food and much more.

This years Master of Ceremonies will be KPLC News anchor, Erica Bivens.  Guest speakers include:  Hyannis, Massachusetts native, Brigadier General Gary Brito, Commanding General, JRTC from Fort Polk, LA.  General Brito was commissioned an Infantry officer at Penn State University and in March 1987, he entered active duty.
