2017 Veterans Day Ceremony

The City of Lake Charles Mayor's Armed Forces Commission is hosting the annual Veterans Day ceremony, Saturday, November 11, at 11 a.m. at the Lake Charles Civic Center Mezzanine room, located at 900 Lakeshore Drive.

Retired Major General Ronald G. Richard (United States Marine Corps) will be this year's guest speaker, who last served as the Commanding General of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, said a City of Lake Charles media release.

Several Gold Star Families will be recognized at the event. If you are a Gold Star Family member and wish to have your loved one honored during this event, please contact 491.9176.

This year’s event will recognize all Southwest Louisiana veterans, with KPLC's Maranda Whittington as the Master of Ceremonies.

A free family luncheon follows, and the public is invited.
