In case you were wondering, several cities in the SWLA are going forward with Halloween events. The City of Lake Charles will observe the annual Fall celebration on Saturday Oct. 31. Due to minimal street lights and debris parents are encouraged to accompany all trick-or-treating youth and to wrap-up all Halloween activities between 6 and 6:30 pm.

Lake Charles will also holding various events for the young and old. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, many of the Halloween events will adhere to CDC social distancing protocols to ensure everyone's safety. Some Lake Charles Halloween festivities include:

FRIDAY OCTOBER 30

Central Library - Drive Thru Spook-Tacular (301 W Claud Street) 3:30 - 5 pm

SATURDAY OCTOBER 31

Glad Tidings Fall Candy Haul - Church Parking Lot (3400 Texas Street) 10 am -12 noon

St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church - Drive Thru Trunk or Treat (1801 2nd Avenue)       5 - 8:30 pm

Maplewood 1st Baptist Church (Gym Parking Lot) - A Not-So-Scary Trunk-Or-Treat (4501 Maplewood Dr.-Sulphur) 5 - 7 pm
