I woke up this morning to hear the sad news that everyone's favorite TV mom, Florence Henderson who played the iconic roll of Carol Brady on "The Brady Bunch", has passed away at the age of 82.

According to FOX NEWS,

Henderson died Thursday night at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, after being hospitalized the day before, said her publicist, David Brokaw. Henderson had suffered heart failure, her manager Kayla Pressman said in a statement.

Florence Agnes Henderson was born on February 14th ,1934 in Dale, Indiana. Henderson started her show biz career in 1954, with singing and acting. But it was in 1969 when she landed the roll that would cement her place in the entertainment world.

in 1969, Henderson was cast to play the mom in a new sitcom called "The Brady Bunch". The show only ran for five years, from 1969-1974 and had 117 episodes. However, with global syndication of the show and spin off movies, "The Brady Bunch" is known all over the world.

Henderson's last project was her own cooking show called "Who's Cooking with Florence Henderson", which began in 2013.

It was reported that Henderson died surrounded by all her children and family. RIP Mrs. Brady!
