50 Cent Charged With Domestic Violence

50 Cent is being accused of roughing up his girl.  The rapper faces up to five years in jail and $46,000 in fines after being charged with domestic violence for allegedly kicking his former girlfriend, Daphne Joy, and vandalizing some property in her condo.

In a story first reported by TMZ, police were called to the home of Fif's girlfriends home on June 23 in Toluca Lake, Calif., after the couple got in a verbal confrontation that turned physical.  At one point, Joy got barricaded herself in the bedroom and called 911 before the rapper allegedly kicked the door down and kicked her.

As a result of the complaint, the rapper was slapped with five charges, including one count of misdemeanor domestic violence and four counts of misdemeanor vandalism. Apparently 50 destroyed furniture and chandeliers, as well as a lamp and a TV before leaving the scene.  If convicted, he faces up to five years in jail and $46,000 in fines.

Also according to TMZ, Joy is a model who's been dating 50 for the past three years and is reportedly the mother of his second child.

On July 22nd Fif will have to answer to the charges in court.  In the meantime, the New York MC is denying the accusations of abuse.  In a statement released Thursday (July 4), his attorney, Scott Leemon, says his client denies allegations that he beat his so-called new baby mama and vandalized her condo.  Leemon said, “Curtis Jackson denies these allegations as made against him.  It is important to note, Mr. Jackson has not been arrested and there is no warrant outstanding for his arrest.”
