Common Finally Speaks About What Caused Beef With Drake In 2011, Says It Was Behind Serena Williams [VIDEO]

If you all remember, back in August of 2011, Common and Drake had an odd little beef between the two of them. To this day people still wondered, for what?! Now the truth comes to light almost three years later. It was actually more than just some 'lightskin beef.' 

According to Common, rumors of Drake’s relationship with his ex-girlfriend Serna Williams, and the excessive publicizing is what started the issues between the two MC's. This later lead to Common releasing his inflammatory diss record, 'Sweet.'

I think that was, for me, an emotional thing. I was feeling like..at that time, I think ti was the “Drake/Serena situation” I didn’t know what was going on with that. I didn’t know if he was throwing things, shots or anything. This is my ex and we kind of going our separate. Unfortunately, the war might have been over a girl, even if at the time I never said that.
