Kanye West visited Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club and gave one of the most insightful interviews since his infamous argument with Sway last year. In the hour-long conversation, the mercurial rapper addressed several topics including his “respect artistry” comment following the Grammys, married life with Kim Kardashian, his new album and his ex-girlfriend Amber Rose.

The conversation started with talk of his new Adidas Yeezy Boost sneaker. West said that he tried to make the shoe affordable for everyone, but hopes that with future sneaker releases the price points will be more affordable.

Then 'Ye was grilled on his criticism toward Beck after he won the Album of the Year at the 2015 Grammy Awards. West acknowledged that his comments were off-base since he never heard Beck’s album. However, he still stands by his statement that the Recording Academy needs to respect artists if they want them to keep coming back to their events. The ‘Only One’ rapper did reveal that he has Beck’s number but he keeps forgetting to call him. He also added that the incident gave the rocker some good publicity.

“Think of all the good stuff that happened to me in the last eight days,” he explained. “The person that won was Beck, because if I hadn't [walked up onstage], his Album of the Year would've never been mentioned. He should win an award for what he did -- Rock Album -- but he shouldn't have won [the Album of the Year] award.”

The conversation then segued into West’s past relationship with Amber Rose and the rumor that West’s current wife, Kim Kardashian, interfered when he was dating Rose by sending naked pics to him while they were together.

“If Kim had dated me when I wanted, there would be no Amber Rose," West said matter-of-factly. He then added that he had to take "30 showers" before he could even court Kim. "It's very hard for a woman to wanna be with someone that's with Amber Rose,” he said. Well, damn.

As for Tyga's relationship with his sister-in-law, Kylie Jenner," West said, "They are closer in age than a lot of relationships I know.” He also said that they are strictly friends at this point.

Yeezy also denied that Beyonce and Kim have beef with each other. "Naw they love each other," he said. "They respect each other. When Beyonce's working on an album, she has a picture of Kim on the wall... and Kim is always playing Beyonce's song ‘7/11.’”

Later, the topic of his new album came up. West doesn't have a release date for his still untitled project, but "I'm trying to get it finished,” he said. "I'm trying to get it to the people."

The G.O.O.D. Music leader described the album as "bars, songs, [and] cookout music that just feels good.”

"My last album was a protest to music, I was like 'I'm gonna take my ball and go home,’” he added. “This album is embracing the music, joy. Being of service to the people. I just hope people like it and enjoy it."

West also offered some smart commentary on race and class in America, and why he hasn’t been publicly vocal on national issues such as the killing of Mike Brown in Ferguson, Mo.
