Activist Charles O. Anderson Uses Hip Hop In His Bid To The Mayors Office [VIDEO]
I was pulled into my DMEs Kristians office where he told me about this video of a man running for the Mayors Office. He was pretty adamant about me seeing this and had the sly looking smile that he always has when it appears to be mischievous. He didn't give me a lot of details, but I made it to his office and when I saw what he showed me. All I could do was stand there with my mouth open.
I guess I was prepared to see the standard platform and what I can do type of political ad that I'm used to. But this one was something that I didn't see coming. The mans name is Charles O. Anderson and he took a different approach when it came to announcing his bid for the Mayors office and I'll let you take a look below to see what I'm talking about.
Charles O. Anderson makes announcement video for the Mayors Office:
While he mentions things in the clip that he wants to change. You have to wonder how this will be received. There are plenty of artist that come to mind when I think about hip hop and Charles O. Anderson is not it. I can't say that If I were in New Orleans that he would get my vote, because politics shouldn't be seen as a mockery. I won't totally knock him for his efforts, but there are so many other ways to make an announcement for a position that for the state is right under the Governor. The primary will be in October and I am not familiar with any of the other candidates who are running. However I will say that the clip is an attention drawer, but what kind. Also the real success will be if he can keep it.
