Air Jordan 2 Retro “Nightshade” – Sneaker of the Week

The Sneaker Of the Week slot is a tough one to fill because of the sheer volume of shoes that come across our desk on a weekly basis but there has to be one pair that cuts through the clutter. This week seemed to be tougher than usual but the Air Jordan 2 Retro ended up getting our attention with this great new Nightshade colorway.

Being wedged between the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 3 this model can easily be considered the underdog of the Nike catalog but with colorways like the Infrared Cement and now this latest Nightshade it seems to be really stepping up to the plate. Aside from the high contrast combination of Nightshade and Volt Ice the first thing you notice are the materials along the upper. Safari print and nubuck heighten the appeal of the silhouette and the repetition of the speckled outsole and matching laces are a great touch.

The Air Jordan 2 'Nightshade' is set to be available on May 17 and will retail for $150 on Nike and at select retailers. There are a lot of sneakers to chose from this weekend but this pair is definitely the sleeper hit of the bunch, don't miss out.
