As with years past Project KW, in conjunction with the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury will have a alcohol-free Mardi Gras Zone for Kids, Tweens and Teens to safely enjoy the festive holiday without being exposed to adult entertainment.  Mardi Gras is a wonderful time for everyone to celebrate Louisiana culture, but adult and children activities need to be separate sometimes so that everyone can truly have a good time.

Thanks to Project KW and Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, for the 9th year in a row,The Zone” is back for Mardi Gras in Lake Charles! Fat Tuesday kids, tweens and teens are invited to participate in a fun-filled day from Noon-5:00 p.m., in the empty lot between the Charleston Building and the Parish Courthouse on Ryan Street.

By the way you don't necessarily have to be a youngster, if you’re looking for an alcohol and tobacco free place to celebrate Mardi Gras come on down.  As for the “The Zone” entertainment and activities, they are absolutely FREE and there's going to be plenty to do. The kid-friendly event will include entertainment, food, bayou games, fun jumps, an obstacle course.  Plus kids can enjoy taking a ride on the Mardi Gras train, eating their favorite snow cones, pizza and much more.
Bring the entire family and laissez les bons temps rouler at “The Zone!
