A new list from Niche.com has ranked Louisiana's public schools, and some of the area's smaller schools are getting the highest marks -- at least for Southwest Louisiana.

Of the Top 100 high schools on the list, there weren't a great number of local schools -- and no Lake Charles schools made the list. So how did they come up with the list? According to Niche's methodology, they ranked student happiness, academics, diversity and extracurricular offerings.
