BET reports, Wednesday (March 19) the legendary singer was being accused of racking up a $15,000 bill for a paint job and various other home renovation to her house in Grosse Pointe, Mich.  Ray A. Smith Painting & Decorating has filed suit claiming Baker defaulted on her payments, totaling some $15,351.41

To make matters worse, the Detroit Free Press says Baker didn't show up for a hearing about a dispute that she has with the painters.  Because of that, an arrest warrant was issued by the City of Detroit Police Department, citing her failure to appear in court.

Ray A. Smith Painting & Decorating says that Baker received a ton of work on her home to include carpentry, plastering, and painting.  Dan Gerow, an attorney for the painters said, "I just want to collect the money."

So far, the singers legal team has issued no statements.  However, the following coment appeared on Bakers Twitter page Thursday: "WHATTT??!!... sittin' in the kitchen watching this on TV. BIG time crazy. Atty on his way to TV Station. Devil sho is busy."
