Lake Charles, La. - On Sunday, Aug. 13, the Lake Charles Police Department responded to an emergency at 113 East Greenway Street, where officers discovered 68-year-old Wayne Keith Reynaud deceased. He died from "apparent blunt force trauma," said a media release.

Detectives quickly identified 29-year-old Rolando Anthony Massingill as the person who committed the crime.  He was reportedly homeless and there was no recent known address, so Judge Clayton Davis signed a warrant for his arrest for 1st-degree murder along with a $1,000,000 bond.

After receiving information on Monday, Aug. 14, Massingill was located at a hotel in Kinder La., where the LCPD SWAT team, detectives, a K-9 officer, the Negotiation Team, US Marshal’s Office, Allen Parish Sheriff’s Department, and Kinder Police Department apprehended Massingill without incident. He was brought back to Lake Charles and booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center for the charge of 1st-degree murder.
