Arrest Made in Shooting Outside of French Montana’s Tour Bus Last Week

Police in Philadelphia have arrested and charged a 20 year old, Frank Briggs, with murder in connection with a shooting that happened right outside of hip-hop star French Montana’s tour bus last week. According to NBC 10 Philadelphia, Briggs is charged with murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault and other related offenses. He is being held without bail for the murder of 26 year old Jowann King of Flushing, N.Y. who was shot in the stomach. A second man, Granville Thompson, 28, was also hit in the shoulder. He was treated at a hospital and released.
Authorites questioned French, members of his entourage, and Philly rapper Meek Mill, who was also on the bus at the time of the shooting. French told police investigators that he did not know the shooter or the victim, and was not aware of what happened until he was told by his entourage. He did give the victims family his regards.
