It's about time.  Arsenio Hall’s new syndicated late-night talk show is scheduled to debut September 9th. One things for sure, late-night TV is about to get much more interesting.  It's hard to believe, but it's been nearly 20 years since Arsenio Hall has graced the late-night desk, and he's returning to a crowded market at that.  Hall is going to have to compete for ratings with David Letterman, Conan O'Brien, Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, Chelsea Handler, Jimmy Fallon, Carson Daly and several others.

There's no doubt about it, Arsenio has his work cut out for him.  However, it looks like he's got a plan.......HIGH-PROFILE guests and performers.  As a matter of fact, The first week of the veteran comedian’s program will featured a number of high-profile guests and performers.

Arsenio is pulling out all the stops!  Upcoming shows in September will include Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Russell Simmons, Nick Cannon, and Dijimon Hounsou.  Chris Tucker (9/9), Ice Cube (9/10), Magic Johnson (9/11), and Angela Bassett (9/13) will be among the celebrities to chat with Arsenio next week.  Mac Miller (9/10), Nas (9/11), and Earth, Wind & Fire (9/12) will also perform during the show’s premiere run.

Though it seems like it was much longer, the original The Arsenio Hall Show only ran for 5 years, from 1989 to 1994.  But the hit show made quite an impression.  Who can forget the famous appearance by then presidential candidate Bill Clinton, who not only played his saxophone, but said he "puffed but didn't inhale" when smoking weed.

The Arsenio Hall show was also, the only show that highlighted Hip Hop and it artists.  For example here's a look back at his interview with Tupac, KRS-one, Eazy-E and DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince just to name the few.

WELCOME BACK ARSENIO!
