This week's "Don's Automotive Group Athlete Of The Week" is Jaren Dugas of Iowa.

Jaren is a multi-sport athlete at Iowa High School, where he is a senior this year. According to his father, when he is not on the basketball court as a shooting guard, he is playing cornerback, punter, and kicker for the Yellow Jackets football team at Iowa High School. He has been active in sports from a child, but has been truly into it since 9th grade at Iowa High School.

He currently has a 3.7 GPA, and is busy year-round, including spending time with his family and girlfriend. If there is any spare time, he is always helping out in the neighborhood, from cutting yards to helping residents move furniture in Iowa. He is also into gaming with his friends, and loves Math, which is his favorite subject

Another great thing that I heard from his stepdad is the fact that he will more then likely stay here in Lake Charles and attend Mcneese State University to take up engineering. I am honored to bestow the crown of Don's Automotive's Athlete of The Week to Jaren Dugas. In closing, I asked his father what words of encouragement he might have for Jaren. He said that he would tell him to "stay focused and to keep his eyes on the prize."

Congratulations, Jaren!
