Gina Cook

I was born in Boston, Mass. and raised in San Jose, Calif. Then I lived in New Orleans for about a year or two before settling in Lake Charles in 1982. I am happily married with two beautiful children and a graduate of Lake Charles-Boston High School and Delta School of Business. As far as my radio career, I’ve been holding down Middays on the radio since 1991. I got my first gig at KXZZ (Z-16, 1580 AM) under Rob Neal and Kevin Nash before working with Rockin’ Sidney at KAOK 1400 AM. I was a member of the original and very first air-staff at KZWA 105.3 under Randolph Walker in Lake Charles before joining the staff here at KJMH 107 Jamz. I’ve been lucky enough to of had two syndicated shows one at WTUG 92.9 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. and the other in Charleston, S.C. at WXST Star 99.7 which was #1 for three years. I did this, all while maintaining a live show here in Lake Charles. In all, I’ve been a member of the 107 Jamz staff since we first went on the air on August 7, 2000. I am grateful to have had such longevity in a career I love so much. While you're here, check out 10 more things you didn't know about me!
