Another week, another collection of dope new tunes to soundtrack your summer. This week, XXL takes a look at the very best new releases from the world of hip-hop, with the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Trippie Redd, Rich The Kid and more making the cut.

Promoting his forthcoming Rolling Papers 2 album, Wiz teamed with Rae Sremmurd's Swae Lee for "Hopeless Romantic," a sultry new single fueled by smooth strings and some melodic stylings from Lee. Wiz also does his thing with his own bars while injecting the beat with some melody of his own.

Next up on our list is Trippie, who unloaded an alternative rock-inspired song by the name of "How You Feel." Considering all of Trippie's wild crooning and the riffs of a blaring guitar, it feels like a stretch to even call this one "rock-inspired," as opposed to a full-out rock track, but that's just Trippie's style—and it's dope.

Making a surprise entry into our list are Jay-Z and Beyoncé, who dropped off an entire joint album by the name of Everything Is Love last Saturday (June 16). This technically falls just outside of a space we'd call during the "week," but because songs from the album dropped on the weekend and didn't get the chance to make our previous best songs of the week list, we've decided to allow one of the tunes onto our list today. While all the tracks on the new project are slappers, we could only choose one, so we went with "Apeshit," which arrived alongside an inventive new music video.

Bringing a hardened street edge into the mix is Gunplay, who released his Active album earlier today (June 22). The LP's standout track is "Finish Lines," which is the second to last on the MMG rapper's new project. With its gritty, frontline narratives, it's definitely an appropriate way to help bring Don Logan's latest stories from the criminal underworld to an end.

Checking in from Philadelphia is Freeway, who is now just hours removed from unleashing his Think Free LP onto the world. Some 18 years into his mainstream career, Free's still got it, and his Jadakiss-assisted tune, "The Nation," helps make that point. Both Free and Jada keep it grimy over some bits of organ as they make you feel like its 2005 all over again.

Revisiting The World Is Yours, Rich The Kid delivers a remix of "Plug Walk," one of the very best tracks from the album. The remix features YG, 2 Chainz and Gucci Mane, and all three deliver some nimble flows over the infectious beat. Tity Boi goes the hardest, though.

On a more touching note, Juice Wrld took some time to commemorate the deaths of Lil Peep and XXXTentacion. X was shot and killed this past Monday (June 18), and Lil Peep died after using Alprazolam (generic form of Xanax) laced fentanyl last year. While Juice dropped two new songs ("Legends" and "Rich & Blind"), we opted for "Rich & Blind," a melodious track that's as pleasant to listen to as it is touching.

In another unusual entry, Nas lands on our list despite having dropped his Nasir album just outside the span of our usual weekly coverage. While the LP has a few standouts, we chose "Cops Shot the Kid," a track that blends social commentary with a sick Slick Rick sample.

Representing Indiana, Freddie Gibbs dropped a surprise album last night, which means he dropped new music just in time for us to put it on our list. Titled Freddie, the LP is loaded with ferocious lyricism from Gibbs. But, since we can only choose one song, we're going with "Death Row," an 03 Greedo-featured track that samples Eazy-E's 1988 classic, "Boyz-n-the-Hood." Both Gibbs and Greedo do Eazy justice.

Coming all the way from Dreamville, Bas also pulled up with some heat this week, teaming with A$AP Ferg for a summer-ready cut called "Boca Raton." With a beat that sounds like a day by the beach and breezy verses from Bas and Ferg, it's definitely a track you should put on repeat. We definitely will!
