It has been a lengthy wait for Big K.R.I.T. fans, as the hip-hop star hasn't released an album since 2015, but a new project is finally on the way. According to the Cadillactica rapper's manager, K.R.I.T.'s new album is finally finished and turned in.

While there are no details on when we can expect the project to be released, or what the title of the album will be, this will be the third studio album from the Mississippi MC. The project also follows in the footsteps of his It's Better This Way release from 2015, which was met with critical acclaim from the music community.

While the Southern entertainer has been laying low on the music front over the last year or so, he most recently teamed up with Dizzy Wright on their joint song, "Outrageous." He was also seen teaming up with Nas in the studio as of last year, hinting that the two may have a collaboration on the way that could potentially be on K.R.I.T.'s upcoming album.

The rapper recently departed from Def Jam Records, and he addressed the split on his powerful track, "Free Agent." The song painted a cold picture of the record label, but since going indie we've yet to get a project.
