Today in Tha Wire the N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton set the bar for biopic's.  BET was paying attention and followed suit with, The New Edition Story.  Now everyone is jumping on the bandwagon.  As previously reported Black Entertainment's three-part mini-series was a massive success and earning them a record breaking audience of 29 million.

Looking to keep the momentum going, the network announced it's next biopic will air this summer.  Street Dreams, telling the life and times of rap pioneer and legendary lyricist Nas.  Listen as The Breakfast Club talks the upcoming mini-series.

According to reports and the numbers, this is what the people want.  The good news is all the positive feedback, is starting to shine a lot of attention on more projects based on the lives of other Hip Hop and R&B stars.  Speaking of which, the highly anticipated Tupac Shakur movie will finally arrive this summer.

Pretty crazy how much he looks like Pac.  Even more eerie All Eyez On Me, will premiere in theaters on what would have been Pac's 46th birthday, June 16.  Don't miss it.  Last but not least, according to reports a biopic on Jodeci will be out by the end of the year!

Jodeci's Mr. Dalvin sat down and poured all the tea at a recent interview  He explained the group's film has been a long time coming and said it should be done by the end of the year.  Check out the interview below.

Dalvin said “VH1 bought the rights,” but it's not clear if the Jodeci biopic will be on TV or the big screen.  Keep you posted on that one.  Meanwhile I can't wait to see what actors, will play who each.
