What was first a rumor has now turned into proof via an indictment. A court document shows details that the man who shot at Lil Wayne’s tour bus in Atlanta back in April called phones connected to Birdman and Young Thug.

Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, the man who shot at Lil Wayne’s tour bus in Atlanta on April 26, 2015, has been charged. He was indicted by a grand jury for the charges of aggravated assault and racketeering, and numerous other charges. According to an indictment, Winfrey called cellphones linked to Birdman and Young Thug prior to, and after the bus was shot at.

The shooting was said to be fueled by the tensions between Lil Wayne’s contractual frustrations between Birdman and his label Cash Money Records. The indictment is stating the claim that Birdman, Young Thug, and Jimmy Winfrey were trying to kill Lil Wayne.
