Bow Wow has had a rough year battling mental illness, and while his struggle merits sympathy, the rapper's troubles have occasionally caused harm to others, too. Yesterday (Sept. 26) he tweeted out an apology.

"Want to apologize to my fans and the public and my SSD family lately i been tripping and acting like a fuck boy," he wrote. "My mind is clear im back on track thanks to GOD! see you on the road. Forgive me for my immature ways. Lets handle business. Thanks [sic]."

Bow Wow has spoken publicly on several occasions this year about managing addiction and suicidal thoughts and named a forthcoming album Edicius, suicide spelled backwards. Last month, TMZ reported that he attacked Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta camera crew while filming a party in the city for Da Brat.

The rapper born Shad Moss is scheduled to tour with Jermaine Dupri, Da Brat, Jagged Edge and several other So So Def legacy acts on the record label's upcoming 25th Anniversary Cultural Curren$y Tour, which kicks off Oct. 14 in Washington, D.C. The 11-city trek comes on the heels of So So Def's history-spanning compilation album released in June.

Hopefully, the tour will be a supportive and healthy success for all parties. It wraps in Los Angeles on Nov. 2. Tickets are currently available on So So Def's website.
