These days the internet has a lot of fun at Bow Wow's expense, but like it or not, there was a time when he was one of the brighter stars in hip-hop, with a string of hits from roughly 2000 to 2006 as solid as anyone's. So not everything he says is a flex—sometimes, it's merely the facts.

Still, there might have been a few eyes rolled when Bow Wow, who was recently involved in an unfortunate bit of roasting, implied he was responsible for giving folks like Trey Songz, Omarion, Chris Brown and Ciara their big break. He said as much during an Instagram livestream session the other day.

"They wouldn't even know half these guys that they love today if it wasn't for the Scream tour platform," Bow Wow says in a video of the livestream. "We put Trey Songz on his first tour over. I put Omarion on his first tour ever. I put Chris Brown on his first tour ever. Which was the Scream tour. Ciara, [Ciara's] first tour ever was the Scream tour."

Bow Wow goes on to say he doesn't think he's owed anything by the artists he's mentioned—who have all been pretty close with him in the past— and that he was only highlighting his love of giving talented people an opportunity to shine.

While Bow Wow's comments seem innocuous, if not something of a humble brag, it's hard to say he's discrediting anyone. Still, Trigga was left a bit puzzled by what Bow Wow had to say.

" Caption this!!! ok ok I'll do it. So Bow said what now?" Songz wrote in the caption of a recent Instagram post. You can listen to Bow Wow's original comments and see what Trey Songz had to say in the posts below.
