A group of Clinton Hill community board members have come out against naming a Brooklyn street corner after the late Notorious B.I.G.

It’s kinda hard to believe because the late rapper loved his city and repped it every chance he got.  But reportedly, these board members are refusing to honor Biggie because of his criminal past, misogynistic lyrics and even his weight.

Brooklyn resident LeRoy McCarthy started the petition to have Biggie immortalized by renaming the intersection of St. James Place and Fulton Street to "Christopher Wallace Way”. But the board members are standing in the way and shot the idea down in the last meeting.

Afterwards, McCarthy, 45, said "board members should not hold Wallace's physical appearance nor how he died against him" and defended the late MC's lyrics. "There are many artists that share stories in a vernacular that their audiences understand," McCarthy added. "Biggie used the language from the streets he grew up in to convey what he wanted to say."

On a bright side, there is still hope for the renaming to go through, find out how below with Tha Wire.

In other news, it’s been a big year for super producer Timbaland.  So far he’s racked up production credits for two of the biggest albums this year, Justin Timberlake‘s ‘The 20/20 Experience’ and Jay Z‘s ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail.’

However things on the home front I’m sorry to say, are going that good as it’s being reported that his wife and former publicist Monique Mosley has filed for divorce.  To make matters worse, she’s got some pretty tuff demands, according to TMZ.  In addition to child support for both of her kids, she’s asking for alimony, vacations, summer camp and life insurance, among other expenses like her lawyer’s fees.

FYI, Tim and his wife have a 5-year-old daughter together and while Monique has a 10-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.  Get more details surrounding this story below inside Tha Wire.

Finally, as previously reported rapper A$AP Rocky is being accused of slapping female fan Lisa Wade in the face during his performance at the Made in America Festival this past September. Since the alleged incident, Ms Wade has decided to press charges, however she’s gotta find him to serve him with a criminal complaint for assault and harassment.  So far, that’s proven to be pretty difficult because she has to produce a working address for Rocky before the D.A. will move forward with the charges.

TMZ reports the law states that Ms. Wade is required to find the rapper since police didn't witness the assault.  Ms. Wade has reportedly sent legal documents to Rocky's label, but they were returned because he wasn't on hand to sign for them.

Meanwhile, Rocky is gearing up to go back on tour with Rihanna and their are two dates close to home.  Get them, plus all of today's juicy details now.  Press play to hear Tha Wire.
