Texas rapper, Bun B, one half of the legendary UGK is reportedly organizing a benefit concert, and telethon to raise money for Hurricane Harvey victims. Bun, whose real name is Bernard Freeman, is from Port Arthur, Texas. On August 29 Harvey dumped 26 inches of rain in a single day, leaving 20,000 homes in the city, with up to 6 feet of water in them. The devastation is widespread all over SE and E Texas, as well as SW Louisiana. Below Bun talks to the Breakfast Club, about Harvey and tells people how they can help.

The rap legend is pulling out all the stops, to help to people of his state, and city with the star studded benefit. The Trill mogul is teaming up with, Scooter Braun, who organized the Ariana Grande's benefit concert in Manchester. TMZ reports, Bun B is working to line-up of stars who can help raise the badly needed funds for the victims. So far several have agreed to participate. What's cool, is that the telethon will take place in 3 cities on the same night.

Reese Witherspoon and Blake Shelton will host from Nashville. Jamie Foxx and possibly Hilary Duff, (both born in Texas, will host a show from L.A. Houston born superstars Michael Strahhan and Kelly Rowland will team up to host a show in New York.

According to reports the Bun's event will go down in Houston, on September 12. This event will be televised and the place and time will be announced soon. Hold on Texas, help is on the way!
