Calcasieu Issues Emergency Declaraion Ahead Of Tropical Storm Lee
As a precaution, the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has issued a state of emergency declaration just in case Tropical Storm Lee heads this way. According to the jury, the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness will remain active in monitoring the weather system and address any safety issues as they develop.
The current forecast predicts Calcasieu Parish will be impacted with heavy rains and periods of high winds. Some low-lying areas could experience flooding. Residents are encouraged to monitor the weather conditions throughout the weekend and stay tuned to local media outlets for the latest emergency information.
