Callie Is The 107 Jamz Dog Of The Week [VIDEO]

This is Callie!  She's an American Pit Bull Terrier and about 2-years old.  Callie is an amazing dog and her story is one of tragedy, courage and the sheer will to live.  When she came to Lake Charles Pit Bull Rescue, she was barely 20 pounds and near death from starvation alone.  Callie was either fought, hit by a car, severely beaten or all of the above.

Her tail was busted-up so bad, it had to be removed and at one point in her young life her jaw, elbow and shoulder were broken.  Because she was given no medical treatment for her injuries, her body healed incorrectly.  So her mouth is slightly twisted, one of her legs is bowed-out and one of her ears doesn't quite stand-up.

You'd never know by looking at her today, that she was near death and had faced such unspeakable trauma and pain.  Callie is a happy dog and is eager to please.  She is unbelievably loving and calm.

In spite of all she's been through, this dog is an absolute sweetheart, who's head-over-heels with humans.  It always amazes me of how forgiving and loving dogs are.  Callie is shining example of her breed and proof that these dogs deserve a second chance at life. Callie has a clean bill of health.  She has had all her shots, given a microchip, and even been spayed.  She's ready and willing to find an owner or family that can give her the life she deserves.  Please help us stop animal abuse and report it.  No dog should have to go through what Callie went through.
