BET's tribute to Hip Hop will air October 10, at 7 pm CT/ 8 pm ET, so don't miss all the excitement. By the way the show is going to be in a new location this year, moving from Atlanta to Miami. Well aware of the devastation Florida has been dealt from Hurricane Irma, BET's current Head of Programming Connie Orlando released the following statement,

“While BET is extremely excited to bring the BET Hip Hop Awards to Miami, we remain sensitive to the millions of victims affected by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with those who are facing the impact of this catastrophic storm. As a network, we are committed to offering our full support during this most devastating time.

Through Hip Hop Awards 2017, our ‘Hip Hop for Hurricane Relief’ will bring together some of the biggest names in hip hop to acknowledge those in need as the country begins the difficult process of rebuilding.”

Taping the show in Miami was obviously planned way before this year's hurricane season, but in spite of Irma's impact on the city the show will go on in a respectful manner. Hip Hop has, and continues to make huge donations for millions who need hurricane relief. BET will tape their annual star-studded event, Oct. 6 at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater.

As far as other artist nominations, Cardi will have to compete in several categories with Grammy Award winning Kendrick Lamar, and DJ Khaled, including for the MVP of The Year award. Lamar and Khaled also earned 9 nods each, followed by Jay Z and Chance The Rapper with 5, while Future and Migos coped 4 each. Drake, J. Cole, Nicki Minaj, Yo Gotti, Rae Sremmurd, French Montana, and more hoping to score on their nods.
