Since dropping off "Bodak Yellow" last summer, Cardi B's racked up just about all the trappings that accompany superstardom. Unfortunately for her, though, one of those appears to be a massive lawsuit. On Thursday (April 26), TMZ reported that Bardi's ex-manager, a man who goes by the name of Shaft (born Klenord Raphael), has filed a $10 million lawsuit against the Bronx entertainer.

Shaft, who's the head of KSR Group, says he's worked with Bardi since 2015, and believes he's the one who transformed the rhymer from a hot Instagram personality to the international entertainment phenomenon she is today. In the lawsuit, Shaft alleges that he's the one who taught Cardi the ins and outs of the music industry and facilitated her run on VH1's Love & Hip Hop.

On another note—one that relates much more directly to Cardi's rap career—Shaft claims it was his own producers, writers and associates that created her breakout single, "Bodak Yellow." Shaft says it was this track that enabled Cardi's rise to superstardom. His label, KSR Group, is credited on her first mixtape, Gangsta Bitch Music, Vol. 1, as well as Gangsta Bitch Music, Vol. 2.

Additionally, Shaft says Bardi turned her fiancé Offset against him by saying Shaft robbed her. Shaft claims Offset told him not to steal from Cardi in a heated text message he sent last December. He accuses Cardi's publicist Patientce Foster of also causing her to distrust him.

Last month, Cardi decided to switch management and joined forces with Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “Pee” Thomas for Solid Foundation, the management wing of Quality Control.

In other Cardi news, the rapper, whose Invasion of Privacy album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, told her fans that she will soon take a break from performing because she is pregnant.
