Updated information on the Homegoing Services for Lawrence "Gumbo" Morrow: For those of you wanting to show your respects, there will be three opportunities to do so. There will be two viewings at Fondel Funeral Home 832 N. Lyons Street, Lake Charles, La 70601. The first will be on Friday (5/17) from 5 p.m.- 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. The homegoing services will be on Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary 2301 Opelousas St. in Lake Charles. There is also a fund set up in honor of Lawrence "Gumbo" Morrow at Capital One Bank where you can make a donation to this institution only. The account number is #208-1915-108. Thanks for you all of your prayers for the Morrow family.

According to KPLC, on Wednesday night (March 20) at around 11:30 p.m., law enforcement agencies responded to a shooting at McMillan Park on Goos Street next to the Sunlight Manor Apartment Complex on Winterhalter Street, in the area of Lake Charles immediately south of Interstate 10.
