A 40-year-old Vermont woman, Jennifer Berube, was acquitted of attempted second-degree murder and a lesser charge of attempted aggravated assault after allegedly trying to slit the throat of a police officer with a knife while she was under arrest. The woman and her former husband were arrested in December 2012 for the attempted use of a stolen credit card.
