There’s nothing really spectacular about this post, but it’s nostalgic for me! My dad was a musician, and traveled the country with a band where they had a chance to open up for  several notable acts during the 70’s and 80’s. Not sure if the Gap Band was on that list, but my dad definitely played all of their hits throughout my childhood and one that always made me feel good was “Burn Rubber On Me (Why You Wanna Hurt Me)” by the Gap Band.

Watch as Charlie Wilson hits the stage on Jimmy Kimmel and performs a few classic hits that you probably didn’t know he sang lead vocals on, including The Gap Bands “Burn Rubber On Me and Zapp & Rogers “Computer Love.”
