For reasons I cannot begin to explain, this song and it's video came into a conversation between my co-worder and I. After watching MC Hammer's 'Pumps and a Bump' after almost 15 or more years since I've possibly watched this video, I pose a question. What in the hell was Stanley Burrell (MC Hammer) thinking when he decided to make this video?

Maybe it was his association with Death Row Records head honcho, Suge Knight. Maybe it was just time for Hammer to do something else with his time. Whatever his reasons for 'Pumps and a Bump' were, I wish he had opted out of the idea. As a guy, you want to like the video because of the scantily clad women in the video, but then there's MC Hammer in a man thong that makes the entire ordeal uncomfortable to watch. In the words of funny man Kevin Hart, "Pineapples!"

Check out the 2nd version of "Pumps and a Bump' starring Deon Sanders, It's a bit more tasteful, and thankfully Hammer is wearing clothing.

Dear MC Hammer, we still love you, we just wish 'Pumps and a Bump' never happened. Sincerely, Big Boy Chill.
