Lil Wayne releases visuals for “Hollyweezy,” an ode to the neighborhood where he was raised in New Orleans. In the opening of the song you can hear Weezy spark his lighter, and then he assures us that he's “Too Hollygrove to go Hollywood.” 

In all that has transpired over the last month between Lil Wayne and Young Thug and their alleged beef, the Atlanta rapper had initially planned to start his tour in Weezy’s old New Orleans stomping grounds. I’m sure Wayne took it as a slap in the face, or some form of disrespect. Knowing the individuals I know in the city of New Orleans, that wasn’t going to happen at all. But, it does make you wonder if this video is directed at Young Thug in an effort to make sure he understands that the city still stands behind their own.

Who knows what their intent is at this point. Weezy is adamant in the song about where he comes from and what he’s done. Check out the dark lighting filled video above. Tell us what you think in the comments below.
