I have been a fan of this lady for well over two decades now. I remember the first time there was this big buzz about Mariah Carey and the song "Vision Of Love"! Not to sound corny, but I had never heard anyone sing like that and at around 16 years old, I was in love. Well that diva is back with her latest album called "Me. I Am Mariah Carey:.. The Elusive Chanteuse" and I have had a chance to really check it out and I want to cover a few songs on the album.

She tested the waters earlier this year with the song "Beautiful" featuring Miguel, while the song was received big, it did mark the return of her big voice on the radio. One of my favorites on the album is Thirsty featuring Rich Homie Quan, you can tell that Jermaine Dupri is back behind the board from the feature choices and the musical styling of the album. She also dropped "Superatural" which actually features her kids, whom she calls Dem Babies. I have to admit it's a pretty cute song with a nice groove to it. If you are able to acquire the deluxe version of the album, you will catch a feature from Mary J Blige and also R. Kelly. Unfortunately for me there was one downside to the album. Again I will not take anything away from her creative flow, but she remade "One More Try". This was originally done by George Michael and I am a true believer that some songs just can't be touched, and this is one of them. Overall if you are a Mariah Carey fan, you should love this album. She's got some nice uptempo tracks and the ballads are just right for that bedroom action. Go out and get your copy today and ride with one of the best who ever did it Mariah Carey!
