According to Law enforcement sources, Chris Brown got into an argument with a man outside the W Hotel on K Street and allegedly punched him once in the face. Apparently the man Chris struck never threw a punch. Chris was with his bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, 35, who was also involved in the altercation. His bodyguard was arrested as well.

Both men are currently in police custody and won't be released until Monday, while the victim was treated at a D.C. hospital and released.

If the assault charges stick, the singer could be facing jail time.

Months ago prosecutors wanted to revoke his probation during his hit-and-run case, which was dismissed. Not to mention, Brown still being on probation for his 2009 assault of ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

Not the best timing for his upcoming sixth studio album, 'X,' due November 19th.
