AllHipHop reports Chris Brown was in the Philippines performing Manila Tuesday night. This morning as the singer prepared to fly out on a private jet, the Philippine Department of Justice put the breaks on his departure.  According to reports the drama stems from a breach of contract that took place last year.

Apparently Breezy owes a concert promoter money for a no-show, that was supposed to take place in Bulacan last New Year's Eve.  According to AllHipHop Chris Brown wasn't the only one detained at the Southeast Asian airport.  His promoter John Michael Pio Roda, was also barred from leaving.

Word is, both Brown and Pio Roda could request a clearance certificate which would allow them to leave, but the Philippine Department of Justice would have to approve it. For now it's unclear if their willing to do that.  In the meantime, Breezy has already cancelled a concert he was scheduled to do later this week.

The singer posted a message on Twitter stating his upcoming show in Jakarta, Indonesia on July 25, would be rescheduled due to “safety concerns.”
