Chris Brown and Drake should be happy about this news. The $16 million lawsuit filed against them over their infamous brawl at a New York nightclub in June 2012 has been dismissed.

Breezy and Drizzy were sued by Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., the company associated with nightclub Greenhouse, which is next door to the WiP club where the melee took place. The company claims in its suit that the brawl ruined Greenhouse’s reputation and that Brown and Drake are libel for their actions.

According to New York Daily News, a judge tossed out E.E.’s case, ruling that while the fight was unfortunate, it didn’t happen on Greenhouse’s premises.

“Unfortunately, brawls in bars and night clubs are commonplace. In fact, they have occurred in the past in Greenhouse,” Supreme Court Justice Anil Singh told lawyers for both parties back in May.

However, Brown and Drake are not out of the woods, yet.

Brown’s bodyguard, Patrick “Big Pat” Strickland, is suing the Young Money superstar for injuries he suffered during the champagne-throwing brawl. The 42-year-old man suffered severe injuries to his face, head and eyes.

In addition, both men are being sued by a French male model who was also injured during the melee.

Neither Brown nor Drake’s attorneys had any comment on the matter.
