CHRIS BROWN UPDATE – Meet The Woman Who Called Police

Baylee Curran is the woman who called the police, claiming Grammy Award winning singer/actor, Chris Brown, pulled a gun on her. Who is she, and what was she doing at Breezy's house? For starters, she's a beauty pageant contestant and is the current Miss California Regional 2016. If Chris Brown is such a scumbag, what is a girl of her caliber doing at his house? One thing's for sure, she can't say she doesn't know who he is or hasn't heard of his past legal issues. So she's either a scumbag, a groupie, or he's not such a bad guy after all.

At any rate, Miss Baylee was at Breezy's house attending a party with a friend. She claims that a guy was selling jewelry at the shindig and she was "admiring" some of the pieces when the singer came out of nowhere, put a gun to her face and told her to get out. Curran appeared on "TMZ Live" below. Listen to her account of what happened.

As for the so-called standoff yesterday (which took 14 hours) between Chris Brown and the LAPD, LA SWAT and LAPD's Robbery-Homicide Division, no one was injured and the singer wound up being arrested. Ironically, NOT for failure to comply, but for assault with a deadly weapon. Granted, Chris is no angel. He's certainly had his share of trouble and he doesn't always make the best decisions. However, how do you get arrested because someone made an accusation? How do authorities know Curran was telling the truth? Are you guilty until proven innocent now?

Though I believe you should always comply with police, I can kinda see why the 27-year old star didn't want to come out of his house. As reported yesterday, Breezy gave his reasons on Instagram. He also expressed that he was tired of constantly being harassed by law enforcement, and that if they wanted to come in his house, they could get a search warrant.

At the time of the interview, LAPD Lt. Chris Ramirez told reporters yesterday that Chris was NOT arrested, and that his department was working to get a search warrant.

Chris Brown says he's the real victim. The LAPD finally got their warrant and did a "protective sweep" of Breezy's residence. It's unclear if they found anything at this time. The singer has NOT been formally charged, but he was booked on SUSPICION of assault with a deadly weapon and later released after posting $250,000 bail, according to Los Angeles County jail.

Mark Geragos, Brown’s longtime attorney, told The Times that he's been with his client the entire time, including when police searched his home. Geragos says Chris isn't guilty of any crime. The Times reports that Dmitry Gorin, a defense attorney, states that this is a matter of he-said/she-said. Gorin said of the case, “The prosecution must find other witnesses, surveillance footage, the firearm in question, to corroborate what happened to ever be able to prove this case in front of a jury."

In the meantime, Chris Brown is in full cooperation with authorities and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 20.
