Plea negotiations between Chris Brown's lawyers and prosecutors in his Washington, D.C., assault case fell through Wednesday (June 25).  The Associated Press reports, the 25-year old singer appeared in court with his attorney Mark Geragos and couldn’t come to an agreement with prosecutor Kevin Chamber on the plea details of the October 2013 incident.

The offer on the table was, to plead guilty to simple assault (versus misdemeanor assault) and time served.  But Breezy and his legal team weren’t havin no parts of that.  Mark Geragos  explained, "They wanted him to read from a script that wasn't true."

The alleged victim, Parker Adams, claims Chris Brown and his bodyguard, Chris Hollosy, assaulted him outside a D.C. hotel.  Though he was assaulted, Breezy’s bodyguard testified at his  assault trial, that he was the only one that laid hands on Adams.

According to Hollosy, two fans approached Chris as he was leaving the hotel and asked if they could take a picture, at which time Breezy said yes, "One picture, make it quick."  Adams testified himself that when he seen the singer posing for the pic, he thought he'd "hop in the picture" too.

Apparently, the two fans weren't happy with Adams' intrusion, so Breezy checked the guy.  In Adams own words, he "squared up" to fight Chris, when the singer’s bodyguard jumped in and "slugged" him.  Sounds like the guy was doing his job, just saying.  By the way, Breezy’s bodyguard also stated that Adams tried to sneak onto Brown's tour bus.

On a brighter note Chris Brown dropped a snippet of a new single, "New Flame," featuring Rick Ross and Usher  via Instagram Thursday (June 26).  followed by an invite to a skate party in Cali benefiting the Symphonic Love Foundation with an all-too comedic promo pic (even he thinks so; "Everybody come out and turn up! Skate PARTY!!! Lol @ the flyer!," he wrote).

Early Friday, went back to IG and announced that the full song can be expected in three days.  "New Flame" is his fourth single from his long-awaited X album.

Finally, the 2014 BET Awards is this Sunday June 29th, and will include performances from Drake, Lil Wayne, Usher, Nicki Minaj, August Alsina, Pharrell, T.I and more. With award presentations by Jennifer Hudson, Trey Songz and more.
