If your looking for a safe, structured environment for your children to be during the summer months, the City of Lake Charles Recreation & Parks Department has just the thing. Summer camp begins at all on-site locations Monday June 1 through July 24, 2015, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  Camp is free, breakfast and lunch will be served daily and it's open to children ages 6 - 12 years of age only.  On-site registration begins April 20 and space is extremely limited!

For FREE on-site locations, fill out the summer camp registration packet and bring it to the site of your choice.

For PAID camp at Willie McCullor Landry Community Center (formerly Drew Park), complete the summer camp registration packet and bring it to the Recreation & Parks Department at 326 Pujo St., on the 3rd floor, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, before camp starts.

The summer months are always difficult and stressful for working parents, especially single parents.  Worry no more.  The  City of Lake Charles Recreation & Parks Department has a FREE solution for parents with middle childhood kids and tweens.  As the 2015 summer quickly approaches, now is the time to register your children for summer camp.

Don't allow your children to sit around at home to watch TV or become a gadget/tech zombie.  Give them something positive and worthwhile to do.  Sign them up for summer camp. Children who participate in summer camp always tend to do better in school the following year.  Plus, summer camp has several other benefits as they always have tons of activities for a child to participate in to keep them active.  Being in group settings also allows a child to build valuable social skills as well.

So hurry, because space is very limited!  Summer camp is free for children ages 6 - 12. For FREE on-site locations, fill out the summer camp registration packet and bring it to the site of your choice.
