Color Vibe 5k Returning to Lake Charles Feb. 20

The Color Vibe 5K run will return to Lake Charles on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at the Lake Charles Civic Center’s "Arcade Amphitheater” beginning at 8 a.m.

The Color Vibe 5K is gaining popularity worldwide, and gives participants the chance to run, walk, or dance their way through a color filled course, while wearing vibrant tie-dye colors. A large dance party will conclude the event, where there will be a live Dj to entertain the large number of participants.

“The Color Vibe 5k is full of inspirational stories of runners and non-runners alike coming together to share a life experience, accomplish fitness goals, and become rainbow junkies. We do not time our 5k fun runs so every participant can take their time getting colored,” said Lindsay Struthers, event coordinator.

A portion of the proceeds are donated to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for life in Lake Charles.  Adults and children of all ages are encouraged to participate.
