Former NFL star Darren Sharper was in an Los Angeles courtroom on Tuesday, November 29, to receive his final sentence for his involvement in the rape of 16 women in multiple states.

The disgraced former New Orleans Saints safety has been sentenced to 20 years in prison "per the terms of a global plea deal -- but has had to appear in each jurisdiction where the crimes occurred to be formally sentenced," said TMZ.

Los Angeles was Sharper's last stop in the case where he was first arrested in 2014 for "suspicion of drugging and raping" two women he met at a nightclub. That arrest led to women from Arizona, Louisiana, and Nevada also coming forward accusing the 5-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champ of sexual assault.

Most of the victim's stories were very similar, with them consuming a drink Sharper made for them, then blacking out to wake up the next morning unable to recall what happened.

Darren Sharper will serve his sentence in an Oklahoma City federal prison.
