Any good news these days, with all the bad around us, is certainly welcome.  Well, here's a tear jerker from the world of Hip Hop.  Willie Maxwell, best known as Fetty Wap is a rather unusual rapper/singer.  From his cadence to his appearance, he's a different type of brotha.  Hailing from Paterson, New Jersey the rapper blew onto the scene with his monster hit, "Trap Queen" and he's been riding high ever since then.

Wap currently has four singles on  Billboard Hot 100, his hometown recently gave him the key to the city, he one of the elite members of XXL magazine's 2015 Freshman Class and he's gearing up for the release of his self-titled debut album Fetty Wap on the Sept. 25. Ironically, he's achieved all this stardom, in spite of having one eye. Imagine that?
You may have heard the story, but if not... as a young child Fetty Way developed congenital glaucoma in both eyes and as a result he lost his left eye.  He was fitted with prosthetic eye and wore it most of his life, but when he began his rap career he made the brave decision not to wear it anymore.  Little did he know, this has inspired one of his youngest fans to do the same.

In a touching story reported by EOnline! a Denver mom wrote Fetty a touching letter thanking him for giving her 10-year old son, Jayden, the courage not to wear his.  Brenda Vaden’s son lost his eye at the age of one after being diagnosed with Retinoblastoma, which is a rare tumor in the retina.

Vaden says Jayden has been inspired by Wap’s courage and took to Instagram page to express her gratitude to the Jersey rapper,

Today I am forever thankful to a young man named Willie Maxwell aka Fetty Wap. While his music is catchy (not always agree with his lyrics but hey who am I to judge…), I’m not necessarily his fan (although Trap Queen is my jam), BUT today I’m his biggest fan.
Many close friends, and of course our family know that Jayden was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma at the age of 1. In result of that he had his right eye removed 2 weeks after his 1st bday. He’s worn a prosthetic eye since then. He has always been terrified of taking it out and would not be caught without it…and then comes along Fetty Wap… Similar to Jayden he lost an eye at a young age and along the way he decided that he didn’t want to wear his prosthetic eye anymore, so he stopped. Jayden, let it be known, is a Fetty Wap fan, a real fan, not like me ha! Well, today, after weeks of asking, Jayden is venturing the world without his prosthetic. I of course am a wreck because this world can be cruel, but so proud of our Boogies. This young rapper unknowingly gave Jayden something we weren’t able to give him-the confidence to be different- and I am grateful to him. Thanks to Fetty Wap for saying F the world this is me, and for helping make our baby boy just a little more remarkable than he already is. And we’ll be purchasing his album, a small thank you to him for changing Jayden’s life forever.
What's really cool is Fetty hit her right back via Instagram!  The rapper wrote,
All I wanna do is show ppl it's not how you look or what you see, it's how you see it and what your looking for from youself Love.  I appreciate his confidence and I appreciate you taking the time out for me and thank you for being a fan of me as a person, thank little man for being a fan of Fetty Wap 100!
I love it!  That's what life is all about.  Shouts out to Jayden and kids just like him, shouts out mom for encouraging her son to love himself as he is and shouts out to Fetty Wap for daring to be himself!  No ones saying Fetty Wap is a role model, but it did take a lot of courage for him to step out into the world baring his gift and his imperfections.  So it wasn't his music, the his realness that inspired.
