TMZ reports Yankee's great, Derek Jeter, is currently in the middle of a multi-million dollar lawsuit with the underwear company Frigo. The retired superstar was going to be a spokesman for the high-end undies brand, but the deal fell through when he was unavailable for the company's U.S. launch.

Frigo founder/CEO Mathias Ingvarsson, quickly replaced Jeter with rapper/actor/director 50 Cent.  Ever since then, it's been straight-up drama.  Jeter is now being sued for reneging on the launch, because had a 3-year deal with Frigo.  Not to mention he was the director of the company. Plus per his agreement, Jeter was supposed to participate in all Frigo major events.

So apparently Frigo boss Mathias Ingvarsson has stirred up some mess, allegedly saying that Jeter was pissed about them replacing him with 50.  According to Ingvarsson, Jeter tried to block Fif from getting the endorsement and thought he was “too urban” for the brand."  In addition Ingvarsson's company filled a $4 million lawsuit against Jeter for breach of contract.

Meanwhile US Weekly reports 50 didn't take to kindly to Jeter's alleged comments and responded this week (Wednesday Nov 18) on Instagram saying:

“Wow, guess I'm not a Yankees fan anymore,” he captioned a photo of Jeter. “LETS GO METS? Man you can't trust nobody these day.smh #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO.”

Jeter on the other hand is speaking out and says those allegation are “categorically false.” In a statement to the New York Post, He's is “disgusted” by Ingvarsson’s decision to “make these false allegations against me in the press, instead of attempting to work out our business dispute in private.”

The former Yankees legend said, “I facilitated the introductory meeting between 50 Cent and the company,” he continued. “So it makes absolutely no sense that I would object to 50 Cent being a Frigo brand ambassador or think that 50 Cent is ‘too urban’ for the brand.”

Jeter went on to accuse the Frigo CEO of threatening a public smear campaign against him, and vowed, “I will take all necessary steps to prove these allegations to be untrue.” By the way, he's suing the luxury underwear company for allegations he cost them company $26 million by failing to promote the Frigo brand.

FYI the Swedish underwear can cost up to $100 per pair!
