Sean “Diddy” Combs is very protective when it comes to his children, so much that it landed him in jail. Combs was arrested on Monday afternoon (June 22) after he got into a fight with a UCLA football coach over his 21-year-old son, Justin - who’s a defensive back for the Bruins.

According to TMZ Sports, Diddy was on the sideline watching his son perform workouts during a strength and conditioning session. Reportedly an assistant coach began yelling at Justin, and Diddy felt the coach was on his son too hard, so he stepped in. The entertainment mogul later allegedly confronted Sal Alosi at his office and reportedly assaulted him with a kettle bell. Combs was arrested by campus security, and is facing a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

Coach Sal Alosi is the former Jets assistant coach who tripped Dolphins player Nolan Caroll after a kickoff during the 2010 NFL season.

Per UCLA, via SBNation:

Shortly after 12:30 p.m. today, Sean Combs (also known as P. Diddy) was arrested at UCLA's Acosta Athletic Training Complex on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, which was a kettlebell [a weighted piece of exercise equipment, similar to a dumbbell]. No one was seriously injured and UCPD is investigating. Combs is expected to be transported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Inmate Reception Center later this evening.

It comes as no surprise that the rap mogul has a bit of a temper, it’s been documented in the past. We would think at age 45 he would go about handling things differently now.
