Rapper DMX, real name Earl Simmons, landed a deal in his tax evasion case, but there's one issue at hand.

According to TMZ, the "X Gon Give it to Ya" rapper's lawyer Murray Richman says X admitted to "knowingly not paying taxes on royalties and other monies" and took a plea deal, but he's reportedly worried if he may still face jail time.

Prosecutors with the US Attorney's Office Southern District New York said DMX could face up to 5 years in prison, which is less than the original 40 years he was facing. Before X plead guilty to 1 count of tax evasion, he was facing 14 counts of tax evasion, and he was charged with failing to pay $1.7 million in federal taxes "by concealing income."

Sentencing is reportedly set for March 29.

We send our love and best wishes to X, as of late, it seems he's really been trying to get his life together.
