Dr. Dre Covers ESPN the Magazine’s Music Issue
Dr. Dre is taking over ESPN The Magazine for their music issue this month.
The rapper-producer, who is also the founder and owner of the successful Beats by Dre headphones, stands on the cover next to LeBron James.
Things have been going well for Dr. Dre this past year. He was listed as the highest-paid musician and brought in $110 million between May 2011 and May 2012, according to Forbes magazine. All of this can be tied to the successful branding of his headphones, which have become the new industry standard.
According to HipHopDX, the NBA and hip-hop great shared their workout playlists with the magazine. Dr. Dre gets fit to Eminem‘s ‘Till’ I Collapse,’ Kanye West‘s ‘Power’ and Method Man’s ‘Bring the Pain.’ LeBron pumps up to Wiz Khalifa‘s ‘Gone,’ Rihanna‘s ‘Diamonds,’ and Young Jeezy‘s ‘Get Right,’ among others.
Jimmy Lovine, the co-founder of Beats by Dre, and Macklemore, a rap newcomer, both share their playlists as well.
The issue will be on newsstands Feb. 8.
